Bogra YMCA Observes 'Ekushe', The International Mother Language Day
The Bogra YMCA Observed the ‘Ekushe’ & the International Mother Language Day on 21st February 2008, due solemnity. With a view to pay homage to martyrs of the language movement, the YMCA members and Youth Forum members jointly organized the program and brought out a bear-foot procession at the early hours of the morning from their campus to the city monument ‘Central Shaheed Minar’. The President Mr. Dilip Marandi, General Secretary Robert R. Marandi and other Board of Directors, Staff of YMCA Secretariat and Teachers from Bogra YMCA Public School jointly offered a floral wreath at the ‘Central Shaheed Minar’ on behalf of all the member staff & program beneficiaries of Bogra YMCA. The procession was led by the Central Secretary Robert R. Marandi of Bogra YMCA. He also thanked all the members of Bogra YMCA and Youth Forum to success the program smoothly.
